Mexican Journey

I feel romance for a Japanese in the not separated by water border.I passed through San Diego and entered Mexico on foot.

IMG_1052_1280.jpg

Tijuana that I looked at from the American side is exotic.

IMG_1063_1280.jpg

There is only a simple revolving door at the entrance to Mexico. However, U.S. soldier with the automatic machine gun stood when I looked well. This border hears that it is the place where the trouble of the drug trafficking endless.

IMG_1087_1280.jpg

I arrived at the central Tijuana arch of the town by taxi for five minutes. The sun is strong in Tijuana, but the cool breeze from the ocean feels good. The way is smaller than the United States, and the building is old, too, and the hygiene environment is not good, too. However, the Japanese cityscape an age ago was in such a state, too. I felt good old.

IMG_1085_1280.jpg

I felt like they were full of vitality brightly although being poor.

IMG_1116_1280.jpg

Is it a Catholic church? I heard a voice of pious prayer.

IMG_1107_1280.jpg

The town was filled with the rhythm of the mariachi.

IMG_1126_1280.jpg

The uncle that wore the folk costume of the Aztec played strange music.

IMG_1130_1280.jpg

I feel sorry for the donkey because of my weight.

IMG_1111_1280.jpg

All the markets are lively. I did not see the japanese there, but a voice depended on me with "Syatyo-san!(Hey Mr President!)". I bought the stylish straw hat here. I succeeded in buying 40 dollars for 25 dollars.

IMG_1095_1280.jpg

At the stand here, they sold anything. Meal, silver product, electric appliance, clothes,medicine,etc...
I received questioning to a police officer when I took a walk through the town. "Where are you come from?""Are you Japanese?"  "Yes" "What are you doing here? tourist?" "Yes" "This street and that street are safety, but others are dangerous for you.Don't go" "Then this shop in front is very good." "What??"

IMG_1066_1280.jpg

The row of person and cars toward the United States. Three hours or more must depend on entry.

IMG_1156_1280.jpg

I paid 10 dollars and got on the bus. This bus seems to be able to pass customs in a short time.

IMG_1150_1280.jpg

There are strong people doing business between cars waiting for entry.

IMG_1163_1280.jpg

I succeeded in escape to the United States in two hours. The red trolley-bus let me feel the United States to be. Tijuana is not the place that I can recommend to anyone. However, Mexico is one of the countries which I wanted to go once.

What do I eat in San Jose? / Meat

San Jose is the happy land which serve dishes of the world. It is the introduction of meat dishes this time. I do not eat only meat all the time, please don’t misunderstanding.

IMG_0925_1280.jpg

This is the steakhouse of Las Vegas where I jumped into immediately. The chef grilled 12 ounces of meat because 10 ounces of meat was sellouts. I did not know how many grams 1 ounce weighed then.

IMG_3756_1280.jpg

Here is Chain stake house Outback where is familiar in Japan. This is the special menu ’Bloomin Onion’ in this stake house. It is the extremely big onion deep frying.

IMG_5214_1280.jpg

The steak here is refined.

IMG_1002_1280.jpg

Krean BBQ,Jang Su Jang.

IMG_7450_1280.jpg

There is very much quantity of the meat, but is delicious. The waitress cuts fried meat with scissors in front.

IMG_3011_1280.jpg

Pad soup of the Korean restaurant. Size of the meat is not ordinary.

IMG_6684_1280.jpg

This is a state of the dinner only for men in the mountain hut.

IMG_9487_1280.jpg

How to eat is rough! There are men who eat before meat discolors.

IMG_5202_1280.jpg

We did BBQ party in  Half-Moon bay together.

IMG_5186_1280.jpg

The Japanese meat ?is refined.

IMG_6857_1280.jpg

Not "subway" "shabu way." It is shabu-shabu of the U.S. domestic beef.

American journey /Pinnacles/exploring natural caves

A man likes the exploration at any age. Interest is aroused by potholing in particular.I visited Pinnacles national park in the 2-hour place by car from San Jose.

P1120120_1280.jpg

The entrance gate of the park. The national park is charged.

P1120124_1280.jpg

I walked the trail among strangely shaped rocks for about one hour. I did not get tired of a trail while I watch a mountain of the strange form.

P1120150_1280.jpg

Pinnacles National Park, located near the San Andreas Fault along the boundary of the Pacific Plate and the North American Plate, is an excellent example of tectonic plate movement. The Pinnacles Rocks are believed to be part of the Neenach Volcano that occurred 23 million years ago near present-day Lancaster, California, some 195 miles (314 km) southeast. The giant San Andreas Fault split the volcano and the Pacific Plate crept north, carrying the Pinnacles. The work of water and wind on these erodible volcanic rocks has formed the unusual rock structures seen today.

P1120167_1280.jpg

The entrance of the cave appeared in front suddenly when I walked for about one hour. The cave is called Balconies cove.

P1120179_1280.jpg

There was very cool when I entered inside at once. It is thought that it is result of groundwater springing out. I washed my sweaty dirty face with the cold water.

P1120195_1280.jpg

In the cave, there are wide place that is easy to walk and the narrow place. There are a bright place and a completely dark place. I cannot go ahead before at the place that is dark if there is not a light.

P1120220_1280.jpg

I bend forward to pass through the big rock or through narrow places.Very thrilling!

P1120259_1280.jpg

I reminded of movie one scene of "Lost Arc".(The adventures of indiana Jones)
Balconies coves are talus caves created by huge boulders that formed a roof over a narrow canyon.

P1120332_1280.jpg

Boots-shaped rock rolls to the hillside. Who wear this boots? How would this rock be made?

P1120313_1280.jpg

Rocks of the form such as the Japanese Kokeshi doll saw me off.
