Good by US

Suddenly, I will leave the United States tomorrow. It was one year and a 10-month stay.I return to Japan where I lived in more than 50 years.I return from Country California that shines of the sun to intense Japan of the change of the four seasons. It was 22 months when I ran around in the American inside by airplane and Mercedes and bicycle. It was luxurious time, and it was interesting and was wonderful time.

The United States is a great melting pot of races. A variety of sense of values exists and US is a country recognizing it.Therefore, in the United States, the country can always call new talent from all of the world, and increase the strength of a nation.  There is a constant common denominator despite diversification of the sense of values there.  It is a rule.People are strict with violation of rule in this country. You must keep the rule even if unsuitable for your sense of values. I ran on the left side of the road by bicycle many times and was warned.I run on the right side of the road in Japan and will never be warned. The rule will be wisdom for a human being different in the sense of values to coexist.

Japan is a country with a shame culture.Shame becomes the model of the action of people. -The Chrysanthemum and the Sword: Patterns of Japanese Culture:Ruth Benedict- The Japanese minds eyes of another person and decides an action. Often Japanese give priority to it than a rule. Japan increase the strength of the country by minding eyes of another person; (in minding the eyes of other countries )
Anyway, strangely, a japanese who mind the eyes of the person, feel freedom ,if they lived comes to the society which does not mind the eyes of the person.

As Japan which forgot the shame would decline ,the United States would decline if lost freedom.I must come back to the society minding eyes of another person from tomorrow. But I do not want to abandon the freedom that I felt in the United States.Good by US and Hello freedom!
